So the team is back squabbling for a spot in the top 4 again this season,
after spending the most number of weeks atop the league table than any other
club.
Where and how did we go wrong? Santi Cazorla was quoted
as mentioning the Stoke game at the Britannia but I believe something went
burst in our heads at Anfield after we
lost to Liverpool (in a shambolic fashion if I may add), the belief, the drive
and all that chutzpah that we really could win the league got deflated like a
kids first birthday balloon.
I’m still wondering what a good ending to this season will
be; The FA cup trophy and/or UCL qualification for next season. If I was asked this question a few weeks into
August 2013, I would have grabbed both but i guess we quivered under the weight of that huge expectation of winning the league...needless to say, which no one gave us a chance of winning in the first place.I still believe those two milestones would
be worth the nine year wait.
Now back to reality, we need to refocus on the
league and put pressure on Everton by winning tonight. I don’t see Martinez’s
men winning all their remaining games especially those two games against the
Manchurian clubs, so in a way our faith still lies in our hands and we mustn’t
let it slip off (again).
COYG!!!

And it is panning out as predicted. Everton might not av d cutting edge t absorb d heat for d ecl spot. D specialist is @ it...
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that my beloved arsenal is now settling for 4th place permanently and calling it success....... We deserve better from wenger!
ReplyDeleteMr. Sanjo, pls be realistic and let's put some perspective into this argument. It is not that the team is settling for top 4 but it is what the markets dictates. We have very right contenders who could buy anyone they want without blinking. I'm sure you'll agree that world class players come at a premium and quality is guaranteed......
ReplyDeleteNameless and faceless anonymous, don't even go there....... Can you please tell me how much Liverpool has spent to be where they are in league and you can also go abroad and tell me how much athletics has spent to be where they are in la liga?
ReplyDeleteLiverpool in England and athletico in la liga are exceptions..... Can you name some other examples ?
ReplyDeleteI don't need to name anymore...... Why can't arsenal be that exception to the rule? Are we allergic to being extra ordinary? Take it or leave it, wenger has gotten to the end of the line. I'm a fan of 25yrs and I think we need to move on
ReplyDeleteI disagree with you absolutely on that...... You want us to also have a moyes case on our hands? Can't you see what man united is suffering?
ReplyDeleteWenger should be sacked!! na my own be that.
ReplyDeleteIf we sack wenger, who takes over?
